Also, please be aware that SmiteWorks does not have the ability to test installations and configurations of Fantasy Grounds Unity with the myriad linux distributions available in the wild, even those based on Ubuntu repositories and codebase. FGU may install and run successfully, but we can only officially support Ubuntu Desktop at the moment.

Suggestions for Improving Performance

Since Fantasy Grounds Unity doesn’t use a central cloud server, but rather connects GMs and players to each other in a peer-to-peer network, it is important to remember that not everyone’s computers in that network might be able to handle the same load as others with higher-specced machines. This reduced performance can affect everyone else in the network if, for example, bandwidth is low for a user or the computer is working harder (but slower) to complete computations and update the desktop and/or movement for everyone.

There are several basic ways to improve performance in Fantasy Grounds Unity for both you and players who may connect to games you host.

By following these streamlines guidelines, you can help ensure a smoother and more enjoyable gaming experience on Fantasy Grounds.
