ONLOAD: System.DllNotFoundException: lua5.1 Error

Problem:

Immediately after launching a campaign in Fantasy Grounds VTT, the Console opens with error output similar to what is below:

Solution

  1. Close Fantasy Grounds VTT and make sure it is not running

  2. Download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2015 Redistributable Update 3 RC run-time components.

    Note: Make sure you download and install the 64-bit version - filename: vc_redist.x64.exe

  3. Start Fantasy Grounds VTT and attempt to load a campaign or join a hosted game.

In some cases, you may need to reinstall Fantast Grounds VTT after installing the Visual C++ Redistributable update. You can download the latest version below:
