ALIEN - Starship Combat
The starship combat uses the SPACE COMBAT MAP image from the GAME MOTHER SECTION and the updated COMBAT TRACKER to arrange the participants and their initiative. Spaceship tokens are dragged to the combat map in the respective zones, while player characters optionally can be added to the tracker and assigned the same initiative as the ship the are assigned to.
The starship combat is manual, supported by CT for initiative tracking purposes.
PREPARATION:
The GAME MOTHER assigns each crew member to the appropriate position by dragging & dropping the character’s portrait to the CREW tab in Ship Sheet.
The GAME MOTHER prepares the enemy ships by creating or picking the appropriate one from the SPACESHIPS library and if necessary assigns the crew pool (ATTRIBUTE + SKILL) in the CREW tab.
COMBAT:
The GAME MOTHER drags & drops all participating ships on the combat tracker.
Each CAPTAIN rolls the initiative and the GAME MOTHER updates the initiative value.
The combat flow follows the standard rules: Each Turn of space combat has four phases, and each ship gets to perform one action in each phase. All ships perform their action in the phase, in initiative order, before moving on to the next phase.
Each PLAYER is performing actions from the SHIP tab of their character sheet. The GAME MOTHER can execute combat on behalf of players (in case they are missing or if there is AI or NPC at certain position) from the Ship Sheet directly.
Each ENEMY ship is managed by the GAME MOTHER and actions are triggered from the CREW tab.
Each action is registered in the chat box and contains the name of the PC/SHIP, the action, the total dice pool and the results.
