Vaesen - Vaesens

Vaesens have their own dedicated library and sheet. It allows flexible configuration of any vaesen as per the core rules. The MAIN tab has several sections that are explained below. Notes tab contains information for the vaesen, link to high resolution image, examples or other information about the creature.

Please note that Conditions check boxes are not locked to facilitate play from the reference object, but to avoid potential issues it is recommended to clone each Vaesen before use. Dragging vaesen to CT will create instance of the object.

  • Non-ID Name and Type – text fields used if the name of the creature is not yet discovered. Type is for reference only and used in the library’s filter.

  • Characteristics section – contains all attributes that define the vaesen. Manual updates to the fields.

  • Magical Powers – user-editable list of magical powers and abilities that the vaesen has. This is unordered list, there is no sorting enabled.

  • Conditions –user-editable list without sorting enabled. It accommodates all conditions that vaesen can take before being broken or killed. The conditions that have modifiers are considered when roll is made. Only the last modifier in the list is applied to a roll as per the rules and evaluation is done from the top of the list to the bottom. For example, if the Sea Serpent has Tactical, Angry and Cautious checked, only the Cautious -2 will be applied.

  • Combat – combat attacks represent the Might-based attacks of a vaesen. Format is following the rulebook and if the attack name is in red, there is special condition for this attack. Hovering the cursor over the attack will display a tool tip with the text:

  • Ritual – text field with the ritual description.

  • Secret – the vaesen’s secret if any.
