Cyberpunk RED Cyberware

Because cyberware is such a major aspect of a Cyberpunk RED Character, with its own added complexity, cyberware is its own record type in the Official Fantasy Grounds implementation.

For more information on how Cyberware is used with the Character Sheet, see the “Cyberware Tab” section of the “Character Sheet” page.

All Cyberware records have the following fields:

  • Install Slot: Determines what “Slot” this Cyberware in. Default is “Fashionware.” Other options are, “Foundational,” “Neuralware,” “Chipware,” “Cyberoptics,” “Cyberaudio,” “Internal Body Cyberware,” “External Body Cyberware,” “Cyberarms”, “Cyberlegs,” and  “Borgware.” This field tells Fantasy Grounds what tables the user is allowed to install this Cyberware to. The only exception is that, unless Advanced Mode is on for a particular table, extra Foundational Ware, Arms, Eyes, etc. can also go to Borgware.

  • Foundational Slot: Only used if the Install Slot is set to “Foundational,” this determines what kind of Foundational Cyberware it is. Options are, “Neural Link,” “Cyberaudio Suite,” “Right Cybereye,” “Left Cybereye,” “Right Cyberarm,” “Left Cyberarm,” “Right Hand,” “Left Hand,” “Right Cyberleg,” “Left Cyberleg,” “Right Foot,” “Left Foot.” Because Fantasy Grounds designates specific slots for the Left and Right Cyberarm, Cyberleg, and Cybereye, there are multiple versions of those cyberware for each.

  • Install Location: No mechanical effect. Tells the GM where the Cyberware must be installed per the rules.

  • Effect:  Applies the listed Effect to the Character Sheet or NPC when equipped. See “Effects” for more information.

  • Slots Required: How many slots this cyberware takes up in the Foundational Cyberware. In Fantasy Grounds, slots are visible by how large the tables are. If there is more available space in the table, there are more slots left in that Foundational Cyberware.

    • Note: Foundational Cyberware has the amount of Slots as denoted by the Core Rulebook. To create a new type Foundational Cyberware with a different amount of Slots, use the Effect: “CyberwareTableName: #” (e.g. “RightCybereye: 1”) to add or remove that many slots.

  • Cost: The cost, in eb, of the cyberware. The Cost Category will be displayed in the label to the right.

  • Weapon: If this Cyberware provides a weapon, it will be linked here. When equipped and Active, the weapon will be available in the Character or NPC’s weapons list.

  • Humanity Loss: The first number is the base Humanity Loss (HL) applied during Character Creation. The second is the Dice value rolled for HL when installed later. The “halved” checkbox is selected when the HL is half of the value of the dice roll.

    • To roll HL for equipped cyberware, right click the Icon Toggle for Foundational Cyberware, or the “Active” toggle for other Cyberware. Then select either Apply Base Humanity Loss, on the left, or Roll Humanity Loss on the right.
