Options - Per User - Notifications
In this section, we will explore each option in the Per User - Notification category.
NOTE: The D&D 5e ruleset is being used for screenshots and animations below as portraits, maps, items, weapons, etc. are readily available, whereas CoreRPG does not have any of these things by default.
Only the options available in CoreRPG Campaign Options are being shown below.
Desktop: Combat actions
This option allows you to toggle combat actions on and off. If on, you can set how long the notifications will remain visible in seconds.
These currently include things like Damage, Attacks, Spells, Effects, etc.
Desktop: Display location
Allows the notifications to be centered, left-aligned, or right-aligned at the top of the tabletop. The notification display will scale with the width of the window.
Desktop: Interface actions
This option allows you to toggle interface actions on and off. If on, you can set how long the notifications will remain visible in seconds.
These currently include things like adding and deleting records such as Encounters, Items, Parcels, Tables, etc. Most things found in the Campaign category in the sidebar will use this notification.
Desktop: Turn change
This option allows you to toggle turn change notifications on and off. If on, you can set how long the notifications will remain visible in seconds.
Speech: Display location
Denotes whether text chat bubbles appear in the chat box and in the upper-left corner of the image the tokens are on as a notification, in the chat box and just above the token comic-book style, or only in the chat box.
Chat and Image
This option shows any shared or spoken text both in the chat window and at the top-left corner of the image or map.
Chat and Token
This option shows any shared or spoken text both in the chat window and above the token comic-book style. It is not displayed in the corner of the image like Chat and Image.
Chat Only
This option shows any shared or spoken text in the chat window. It is not displayed in the corner of the image like Chat and Image, nor above the token like Chat and Token.
Speech: Map display duration
This setting denotes how long the speech bubbles remain displayed in the corner of the map, such as in the Speech: Display Location - Chat and Image setting above.
Speech: Notification sound on whisper
When on, this option makes an audible sound when a chat event happens in a Whisper.
Token: Combat actions
This setting denotes how long the notifications for combat actions remain on tokens.
