Options - Token

In this section, we will explore each option in the Token category.

NOTE: The D&D 5e ruleset is being used for screenshots and animations below as portraits, maps, items, weapons, etc. are readily available, whereas CoreRPG does not have any of these things by default.

Only the options available in CoreRPG Campaign Options are being shown below.

Token: Auto-scale to grid

When dragged from the Combat Tracker to a map with a grid overlay on it, Token: Auto-scale to grid lets you select whether tokens scale to 80% of a grid space, 100% of a grid space, or doesn’t scale and displays as its original size.

Token: Facing indicator

When turned on, tokens displayed on the map will show a small, yellow pointer called the facing indicator. When tokens are rotated, the facing indicator will be rotated, instead of the token image.

To rotate the facing indicator, hold SHIFT and use the mouse wheel while hovering over the token you wish to rotate. You can also right-click on a token and choose Rotate Left or Rotate Right from the pop-up menu options.

Token - Fog of War

This option allows you to turn on Fog of War for everyone, PCs only or turned off completely.

Because Durin has Darkvision, he can see in no light, but Elara has no special vision, and only sees darkness.

Token: Initiative Indicator

Determines how the Initiative Indicator will appear with the token. Under will set all indicators under the token base. Over will place it over the token base.
The square thumbnail preview shows the currently-selected asset used for initiative indication.

Token: Name display

When a Combat Tracker-linked token is added to a map, this option controls whether and how the name of the Combat Tracker actor is displayed on the token. When set to Tooltip, the name will appear in a standard tooltip when hovering over token. When set to Title, a name title bar will be added to each token. When set to Title Hover, a name title bar will appear when hovering over token.

Token: Party vision and movement

When turned on, all players can move any other player or ally token and all players share light sources and vision. When off, players can only move tokens under their control and can only see what their selected token can see.
