In this section, we will explore each option in the House Rules category.

NOTE: The D&D 5e ruleset is being used for screenshots and animations below as portraits, maps, items, weapons, etc. are readily available, whereas CoreRPG does not have any of these things by default.

Only the options available in CoreRPG Campaign Options are being shown below.

Map: Diagonal distance

Below are examples of measuring diagonal grid squares where one square is 5 feet, and two squares is 10 feet.

Default will use the method specified by the campaign’s ruleset.

1x means that diagonals are measured as a distance of 1. This is commonly found in Dungeons & Dragons 5e.
Since we are currently using D&D 5e for this example, Default and 1x are the same.

1.5x means that diagonals are applied a distance of 1.5, rounded down. This is commonly found in Dungeons & Dragons 3.5e and Pathfinder 1e and 2e.

Raw means that diagonals are measured explicitly; that is, squares are not taken into account at all. For example, Pythagorean theorem.

PC: Currency weight

When on, currency weight will count toward encumbrance.

You can see what currencies are currently available, create new ones, rename current ones, and set weight and values of each coin by clicking on the Currencies button at the bottom of the Options window.
