Conan User Interface
This is how the Conan table appears after Fantasy Grounds loads it. The only difference between how the table appears to the GM and how it appears to the players is the visibility of selected buttons on the right hand side of the table desktop. Various elements are discussed below.
THE CHAT WINDOW
The chat window is where most of the action is reported by the ruleset. Aside from player/character chat, the chat window is used to display the results of Skill and Damage rolls, the use of Momentum and Doom, or any other on-table action (like the use of a Fortune point).
The chat window is capable of displaying text in several different modes, depending on which keyboard modifier you apply when you end your text. Use the following keys to change how your text is presented in the chat window:
Just [ENTER] by itself sends the text as an in-character statement
[CTRL]+[ENTER] will display text as a “Story” item
[ALT]+[ENTER] will display text as a Out-Of-Character (OOC) remark
[CTRL]+[SHIFT]+[ENTER] will display the text as an emote
Above the chat entry text is a drop down box which will contain all in-game languages. Selecting something other than the default will display nonsensical characters to any other character who does not speak the language you’re using.
Below the chat window, the GM will have access to a series of buttons which represents each potential NPC/Foe/PC the GM can speak as. To speak as a Player character, click the comicbook style bubble on a character’s portrait. Then that character’s name will appear under the chat box. Click an entry to speak as that character.

The Dice Tray
Rolling Dice
Most player rolls will be made directly on the character sheet. For example, to roll an Acrobatics test, double-click on the die icon in the corner of the Target Number field.
Changing Difficulty
To change the difficulty of a roll, click on the corresponding DC button in the lower left corner. After each roll, the DC will reset to 1.
Adding Dice
To add d20 to a roll, click on the pips below the Target Number gem (this is not nor (WHAT??)
GM Rolls for NPC
Due to the nature of NPCs, their d20 rolls are not made from the NPC sheets. Instead, the GM builds their die pool in the Die Tray area in the lower left corner.
Other Rolls
In cases where players or GMs need to make a roll that is not directly linked to a particular skill, they can pick up the appropriate dice from the Dice Tray in the lower left corner of the screen. Left-click and hold to pick up a single die and toss it into the chat window. For multiple d20, right click and select the number of dice you want to roll from the menu. For Combat Dice, right-click to bring up the menu, then select the Custom Die icon (the one with the question marks) to bring up the Combat Dice. If you only want to roll one, left-click on the blank die at the top of the menu. If you want to add more Combat Die to the pool, right-click until you have the correct number, then left-click to roll.
Momentum and Doom
The Momentum (green with a black phoenix) and Doom (red with a black serpent) piles are clickable and draggable. To increase either pile, left-click on it. Right-click will bring up a menu at allows you to clear the pile. To use a Momentum or Doom chit, drag in into the chat window.
