Treasury
Treasury is where you will purchase “gold” to spend in the Forge. The coins icon next to the Treasury link in the navigation bar will show how much gold you have no matter what page you are on.
The Treasury button in the Forge navigation bar also denotes how much gold you have purchased:
By clicking on the Treasury button, you will be taken to the following page:
Note: While the left and right buttons have predetermined amounts associated with them for easy one-click purchasing, the middle button allows you to specify any amount above 500 gold ($5.00).
Clicking on one of the “Buy xxxx Gold” buttons will bring up the following dialogue for the denomination you chose:
Note: If entering a custom amount via the middle button, the amount must be above 500 or the following error will occur:
Clicking “Buy now with PayPal” will redirect you to the Paypal site to complete the transaction.
Here, you can either sign in to your already-established Paypal account, or Checkout as Guest.
Note: When checking out as Guest, be sure to use the same email address associated with your Fantasy Grounds / FG Forge account. This will ensure that the Paypal purchase is directly linked to your account.
Once the transaction has completed and you’ve been returned to the Forge, you will now see that the Treasury button reflects the total amount of gold now in your Forge account:

Q: Why “gold”?
A: Gold allows SmiteWorks to offer low cost Forge items from crafters without experiencing excessive transaction fees that would otherwise make it prohibitive to offer items under $5. This allows crafters to create and price the products at whatever price they want, allows users to transfer gold from one another without incurring additional fees, and allows for future functionality around donations and patronage.
Q: Do I need to purchase gold to “purchase” free items?
A: No. You can subscribe to as many free items as you like without purchasing gold.
Q: How long does it take for the gold to appear in my Forge Treasury?
A: Once the payment transaction has completed in Paypal, it should be reflected in your Treasury within a couple of minutes.
Q: Are there other gold purchasing options other than PayPal?
A: No, not at the moment. We are reviewing other payment options for the future, but Paypal is our sole payment service at the moment.
Q: How do I donate gold to a Crafter?
A: Click on that Crafter’s username in one of their product listings, or search for them in the Search box at the top-right corner of the Shop.
Once you’re gone to their profile page by clicking on their username, click on the “Donate to” button in the top-right corner under the “Send Message” button.
