How to Compile Logs
Problem
Fantasy Grounds VTT is displaying errors or a Support Technician has requested a set of logs.
Solution - Compile Logs for Review
Method 1 - Use Compile Logs Button
Click the Hamburger menu
in the upper right-hand corner of the Fantasy Grounds VTT launcher.
2. Click Compile Logs and your logs will be downloaded to your PC.
The new log file (usually named something similar to fgu_logs_YYYYMMDD.zip
) should be stored on your Desktop as shown below on a Windows 11 installation.
Method 2 - Manually Gather Logs
Locate your Fantasy Grounds VTT directory folders. If you aren’t sure how to locate your files, you can click the folder icon located at the top left-hand corner of the Fantasy Grounds VTT launcher.
Zip the text files and send them to Customer support.
Method 3 - Use Chatbox
Type
/console
in the chatbox.Click Compile Logs and your logs will be downloaded to your PC. The new log file (usually named something similar to
fgu_logs_YYYYMMDD.zip
) should be stored on your Desktop.
If you have errors, please send your logs when you contact Customer Support.
