Restore Campaign to an Earlier Save

Problem

Your current campaign has become corrupted and needs to be restored to an earlier state.

Solution - Rename a db.session XML document file to db

  1. Open your Fantasy Grounds VTT data folder. You can find your data files by clicking the folder icon from the Fantasy Grounds VTT launcher window.

  2. Locate your campaign within the /campaign folder.

  3. Save your db.xml file somewhere safe outside of your campaign folder, or rename it to db-old.xml, then make a copy of one of the db.session.xml files and rename to db.xml. Making a copy before renaming will ensure the original remains intact and uncorrupted should an error occur with the new db.xml file.

  1. Note: file extensions may be hidden by default, so you may only see db or db.session.####### with no .XML showing. Only change the name, not the file extension.

  1. Relaunch Fantasy Grounds VTT and your campaign.
