Vaesen - NPCs
The NPC sheet is designed to be flexible and support humans and animals. Vaesens are having their own library and rules of creation. Refer to the next section for vaesens.
The Main tab contains the most important information and rolls needed during play, while the Notes will provide more information on the character or the creature – quote, link to a portrait or other resource important for running this character.
When sheet is locked, empty text fields and sections are hidden, so not every NPC will have every field.
The following are the main aspects of the NPC sheet and how to use them:
Type – this field denotes the type of creature and enables the appropriate rules. It is text-based field. Typing NPC will hide the Animal-related field, while Animal will disable NPC related sections and fields. Using any other type results in the default NPC controls.Size & Reach – used for combat maps with grid enabled to define the size and reach of a token.
Toughness – NPCs have Physical and Mental toughness values that are linked to CT PC and MC columns. Animals have simple Toughness which links to CT PC column.
Armor – Protection roll, must be adjusted manually when protection item is added.
Magic – for NPCs with Magic skill.
Attributes – each attribute can be rolled by double-clicking on the name. The field contains string-parsing mechanics.
Skills – each skill can be rolled by double-clicking on the name. It maps to the appropriate attribute
Talents – text field with all talents. All NPCs with talents have links to the respective talents for quick access in the Special Abilities section.
Equipment section – this section supports drag & drop of weapons from the inventory and converts them in “Coriolis” notation. First part denotes the weapon type, second the bonus and third the damage. Weapon attacks can be rolled by double-clicking the name. If the weapon is properly prepared and linked to a weapon category supported by the automation, the dice pool is formed with the right Attribute and Skill:
